In the 17th century, a man named William is excommunicated from a Puritan Christian plantation in New England alongside his family — wife Katherine, daughter Thomasin, son Caleb, and frateal twins Mercy and Jonas — due to the crime of “prideful conceit.” Exiled, the family builds a farm by a large forest. After several months, Katherine gives birth to her fifth child, Samuel. One day, while Thomasin plays with Samuel, the baby vanishes. A witch in the woods is revealed to have stolen the baby, after which she kills him and uses his blood and fat to make a flying ointment, which she rubs over herself.
Katherine is devastated by Samuel’s disappearance and spends her days crying and praying to God. While hunting for food, Caleb confronts William about the fate of his unbaptized brother’s soul, but William cannot comfort him. Back on the farm, the twins play with the family’s black goat, Black Phillip, who they claim speaks to them. That night, Katherine says that she blames Thomasin for Samuel’s disappearance.
The next moing, Caleb and Thomasin go hunting and encounter a hare that Caleb and William had seen the day before. Their dog gives chase and Caleb follows. The commotion causes Thomasin’s horse to throw her, knocking her unconscious. After getting lost, Caleb discovers their dog has been disemboweled and is then captured by the witch. Thomasin awakens and retus but Caleb is not found. Katherine blames her for the disappearance of Caleb and her silver cup. To save Thomasin from her mother’s rage, William admits that he was the one who stole her silver. That night, Thomasin discovers that Caleb, naked and ill, has managed to retu to the farm.
Katherine suggests Caleb’s mysterious ailment is the result of witchcraft. The family prays over Caleb, who passionately proclaims his love for Christ before dying. The twins accuse Thomasin of witchcraft, and she responds by accusing the twins, citing their ability to speak to Black Phillip. Enraged at their behavior, William boards Thomasin and the twins into their stable. That night the witch enters the stable and begins drinking the blood of the goats, terrifying Thomasin and the twins. Inside the house, Katherine is overjoyed by a vision that Caleb has retued with Samuel and the silver cup; she begins breast-feeding the infant, in reality exposing her breast to a raven, which pecks away at her body, leaving her clothes bloodstained.
The next day, William finds the stable destroyed, the goats drained of blood, the twins missing, and an unconscious Thomasin with bloodied hands lying nearby. William is then gored and killed by Black Phillip. An unhinged Katherine attacks Thomasin who, in self defense, stabs her mother to death. That night, Thomasin speaks to Black Phillip. The animal replies and is revealed to be Satan in disguise. After signing her name in a book, Thomasin wanders naked into the forest where she finds a coven of nude witches holding a Witches’ Sabbath. The coven begins to levitate and a cackling Thomasin joins them, completing her transformation.

The Huntsman: Winter’s War is a 2016 British-American dark fantasy adventure film and is a prequel/sequel to Snow White and the Huntsman, based on the characters from the German fairy tale “Snow White” compiled by the Brothers Grimm, as well as “The Snow Queen” by Hans Christian Andersen. It is the directing debut of Cedric Nicolas-Troyan, who acted as visual effects supervisor on the first film, and is written by Craig Mazin and Evan Spiliotopoulos. The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, Nick Frost and Sam Claflin reprising their roles, who are joined by Emily Blunt, Rob Brydon and Jessica Chastain. Principal photography began on April 6, 2015. The film was released on April 4, 2016 in the United Kingdom and is scheduled for release in the United States on April 22.
Long before her death, the evil sorceress, Queen Ravenna, leas that her younger sister Freya is engaged to the Duke of Blackwood and is pregnant. When Freya gives birth to a daughter, the Magic Mirror was Ravenna of dire consequences should the infant be harmed. Sometime later, Freya discovers that the Duke has murdered their child and, in a grief-fueled rage, kills him with her long-suppressed ice powers.
Freya abandons the kingdom and builds herself a solitary ice palace deep in the North, murdering anyone who opposes her while amassing an army of children and molding them into trained warriors whose hearts will be forever hardened. When Eric and Sara, two of her most formidable warriors, fall in love and plan to elope, Freya creates a wall of ice to separate them before forcing Eric to watch as Sara is killed by her fellow Huntsmen. Unbeknownst to Eric, Sara is not actually killed; Freya has conjured a vision of Sara dying in order to permanently harden his heart. Sara, meanwhile, watches a similar vision of Eric running away before being taken to the dungeons.
Seven years later, following Ravenna’s death at the hands of her stepdaughter Snow White, King William of Tabor comes across Eric and informs him that the Magic Mirror was taken while en route to a place known as “Sanctuary.” Eric reluctantly sets off with Nion and Gryff, two of Snow White’s allies, to find the Mirror, unaware that Freya has been secretly observing their conversation through a mask that projects her consciousness into the form of a white owl.
Eric, Nion and Gryff set out to discover the Magic Mirror. Upon their retreat, they are ambushed by another group of Huntsmen and rescued by Sara. The four set forth to find the mirror but are trapped by female dwarves Bromwyn and Doreena. Eric convinces Bromwyn to let them go, and Bromwyn tells them that the Goblins often hunt for valuable belongings and keep them near the Sanctuary, where no entrants ever retu. She and Bromwyn agree to follow Eric to retrieve the mirror. The group is ambushed by the Goblins but are able to get the mirror for transport to the Sanctuary. On the next day, Freya’s army has stolen the mirror, as she freezes Nion and Doreena and orders Sara to kill Eric. She deliberately shoots the arrow at his neck where he wears a necklace, seemingly killing him; Eric wakes up later and vows to face Freya in her icy kingdom.
Freya eventually activates the mirror, which tus out to be another form of Ravenna. Ravenna reveals she possessed herself into the mirror and waited for someone to free her. Meanwhile, Eric has infiltrated the icy kingdom and attempts to murder Freya, but he is stopped by Ravenna. Eric is able to convince a few huntsman to fight against Ravenna and Freya, claiming the love of brethren. The two sisters argue over the icy kingdom, during which Freya discovers that Ravenna cursed the Duke of Blackwood into murdering her child. Freya is filled with anger and tus against her sister, joining forces with Eric and Sara. Freya is killed, but not before she can freeze the magic mirror, as Eric throws his axe, destroying the mirror and Ravenna’s spirit. The dying Freya witnesses Eric and Sara together, stating they were “lucky”.
The icy kingdom and the frozen people are eventually freed, while Eric and Sara, Bromwyn and Gryff, and Nion and Doreena express their love towards each other. The film ends with the bird spirit of the magic mirror flying above the icy kingdom.

In 2012, Benghazi, Libya is named one of the most dangerous places in the world, and countries have pulled their embassies out of the country in fear of an attack by militants. The United States, however, keeps a Special Mission (Embassy) open in the city. Less than a mile away is a not-so-secret CIA outpost called “The Annex”, which is protected by a team of Private Military Contractors Global Response Staff made up of former special operations personnel. New to the detail is Jack Da Silva (Krasinski), who arrives in Benghazi and is picked up by Tyrone S. “Rone” Woods (Dale), a member of the team and a personal friend of Da Silva. Arriving at the Annex, Da Silva is introduced to the rest of the team and the chief (Costabile), who constantly gives the team strict reminders to never engage the citizens to avoid conflict with possible militants in the area.
The U.S. Ambassador to Libya J. Christopher Stevens (Letscher) arrives in Benghazi to maintain diplomatic connections amidst the political and social chaos. Despite waings, Ambassador Stevens decides to stay at the Special Mission with limited protection from a pair of Diplomatic Security Agents and guards hired from the local 17-Feb militia. On the moing and the eleventh anniversary of the September 11 attacks, Stevens notices suspicious men taking pictures of the compound and notifies his security detail. Back at the Annex, the GRS team communicates with their families and Da Silva finds out that his wife is pregnant.
That night, a group of Islamic militants assault the compound. Unwilling to die for $28 a day, the local 17-Feb guards quickly surrender their posts, allowing the attackers easy access to the Special Mission compound. Scott Wickland (Giuntoli), a Diplomatic Security (DS) agent, takes Stevens and an officer, Sean Smith, into the safe room. Unable to breach the safe room, the attackers set the building on fire hoping to bu the men out. Wickland is able to escape but loses both Stevens and Smith. At the Annex, the GRS team desperately wants to go to the compound to help, but the chief refuses, fearing that the GRS team’s departure would leave the Annex vulnerable. Refusing to listen, the GRS team dispatches to the compound and meet up with the DS agents. Da Silva and Woods go into the building to try to find Stevens and Smith, but are only able to find Smith who has died from smoke inhalation. The team retreat back to the Annex. The team from the compound also follow suit, but after Wickland goes the wrong direction, they are followed back to the Annex.
Knowing an attack by the militants is imminent, the staff of the CIA Annex make several desperate calls for help. The only help they can get is from Glen “Bub” Doherty (Stephens), a Global Response Staff officer, who forms a team including two Delta operators that flies to Benghazi after several delays. Meanwhile, the GRS team fends off the militants as they try to breach the Annex perimeter late into the night. As the attackers regroup after failed assaults, the GRS team takes time to regroup as well, and the down time allows them to think about their families while considering the gravity of the situation. After repulsing the largest attack wave, the Annex receives word that help is en route, but before it can arrive, the militants launch a mortar attack that wounds one of the DS agents and kills both Woods and Doherty.
With the GRS team compromised, and the Annex now vulnerable, the remaining GRS operators watch as a convoy of vehicles rolls toward the Annex. Fearing the worst, the operators prepare to make a final stand, until it is revealed that the convoy is an element of the Libyan army escorting the GRS reinforcements. They also find out that Stevens was found behind the compound, but was pronounced dead at the hospital from smoke inhalation. As the remainder of the team wait at the airstrip with the bodies of Stevens, Smith, Woods and Doherty, they reflect on the events that happened and how they will most likely receive no recognition for defending the Annex as they were off the books. Closing titles reveal that all of the members of the Annex security team received medals in a private ceremony and have since retired from the GRS team and live with their families.

After crushing a Zealot revolution led by Barabbas, Clavius, a Roman tribune, is charged by Pontius Pilate to investigate the rumors of a risen Jewish Messiah and to locate the missing body of Yeshua (Jesus of Nazareth), in order to quell an imminent uprising in Jerusalem during the first 40 days following Christ’s resurrection. Failing to find the body, Clavius seeks and finds the disciples of Yeshua, and unexpectedly finds the risen Yeshua. Pilate leas that Clavius has apparently betrayed him, and sends a contingent of Roman troops to pursue Clavius and the followers of Yeshua. Clavius helps the disciples to evade the Romans and witnesses the healing of a leper, and then the ascension of Yeshua into heaven. Clavius struggles to reconcile what he has seen with what he knows of the world.
